Chronicle of a headquarters: the WIKING villa
A unique collection of model ships
It was a secret in-house project at WIKING in the 1950s: playful racing cars were created under the working title of "Catapult racers". However they were never put into production and until now, the silent witnesses have lain secretly slumbering in the archives.
Witnesses talk exclusively about the early years of model production after WWII, when WIKING produced its first model vehicles a long way from Berlin in Buer, Lower Saxony. The WIKING MAGAZINE 2005 has also put together a chronicle of the one-time headquarters at Unter den Eichen 101 in Berlin, containing previously unpublished details. These are stories told at first-hand! And they hold a tremendous fascination.
